Clear Lake Survey - Residents (pdf)
Clear Lake Survey - Visitors (pdf)
This project involved a comparison of the contingent valuation method and the choice experiment method, both of which are common non-market valuation tools. The comparison was conducted using data gathered in the Clear Lake (Iowa) survey, conducted in 2000. The survey gathered information on recreational usage of the lake, attitudes of recreators and local residents toward possible watershed management changes, as well as information about respondents' willingness to pay for water quality improvements at the lake.
